Public Meeting for Library Renovation Project

Wright Library will host a public meeting on Tuesday, February 7th at 7 p.m. in the Library Meeting Room. The purpose of the meeting is to gather public input and generate ideas for the upcoming interior renovation of the library building. Ruetschle Architects, the design firm chosen for the project, will lead the discussion. Participants will be asked how they use the library now and how they would like to use the library in the future.

February Board Meeting

The regular date of the board meeting has been changed for February because of  the Oakwood schools winter break.

The location is the City Building, in the 2nd floor training room instead of the library meeting room.

Books-On-Tape and VHS Sale Begins Friday, February 10th

Wright Library will be selling all Books-On-Tape and VHS at a sale beginning this Friday, February 10th.  The sale will continue through Sunday, March 4th during regular library hours.  These formats are being phased out because their circulation has dropped and equipment to play them isn’t widely available anymore.

Local Author Rev. Richard Venus Plans Visit to Wright Library

Wright Memorial Public Library will welcome local author Reverend Richard Venus on Sunday, March 11th at 2:00 p.m. in the Library Meeting Room.   Rev. Venus’ book is titled Every Place Is Holy Ground: When Religion Is Not Enough.  In it he addresses some of the conclusions and questions that he has accumulated as he wonders and seeks to find answers in the midst of a mysterious and fascinating world.  He will share from his book, answer questions and be available for a signing afterwards.
