Two-year-olds and their caregivers share storytime
by listening to stories and participating in simple games with Mrs. Rose.
Tween CCG: Cooking, Crafts, Games is for tweens in grades 4-8. Each week you can do a different activity with Mrs. Bengson. This week's activity is making pizza sticks.

Without stealing your wallet, a crook can steal your financial identity with as little information as your social security number. Learn about this threat to your financial security from Ann Smith, Sr. Vice President, and Debbie Stevens, Vice President, of the LCNB Security Department. They will present tips and techniques for reducing your risk and protecting your assets.

TAB (Teen Advisory Board) is open to any teen, grades 7-12, who would like to participate. We meet once a month to plan special events and to coordinate volunteer opportunities at the library. "Drop in" for books, blocks, puppets, puzzles, coloring, and play stations from 3:00p.m. until 3:40 p.m. After children clean up the toys, a snack and a story is then followed by circle time dances. Social skills and early literacy skills are enhanced in this interactive program which fosters the love of books and the library for the young child.
Mrs. G., along with teen volunteers, will be there to host our Saturday afternoon program.
This program is suitable for children ages 6 and under (ages 2 and under MUST be accompanied by an adult).
Wright Library is pleased to offer an information session on its newest database, Mango Languages, on Sunday, September 19 at 2 p.m. Mango Languages is an online language learning system that teaches real conversation skills for practical communication. The system is completely web-based and remotely accessible, so you can learn anywhere you have an Internet connection. This demonstration program will take place in the library meeting room. Advanced registration is not required.

Children ages 3-5 will join Mrs. Rose for stories, songs,
games, and films.
Mrs. Sommer will lead this new program introducing kids to great audio books. Each week, bring your lunch and listen to sample chapters from several audio books. Audio books from those sampled that day will be available for check-out, so don’t forget your library card.
For grades 3-6 beginning Wednesday, September 22 during lunch hour, from 11:45-12:30, in the Wright Library Meeting Room.
*No registration is necessary, however a form for your teacher is required indicating that you will be attending the program during your lunch hour. Stop by the library to pick one up.
Bring your "Magic: The Gathering" cards (or your favorite game) to the library, or play one of the library's card games. Snacks provided, too! Grades 7-12.

The Honorable Walter H. Rice of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio will speak at Wright Memorial Public Library on Sunday, September 26th at 3:00 p.m. Judge Rice will share his insights on the documentary film, “Perspectives on Dayton: The Riots of the 1960s” produced by four Oakwood High School Students this past school year.
Psychologist and author Dr. Alice Licata will talk about her book It’s Not Rocket Science: Down-to-Earth Advice on Raising Stellar Kids on Monday, September 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the Library meeting room. Dr. Licata earned her master’s and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology from Kent State University. The Kettering resident has two teenaged daughters. Unlike many parenting books that focus on the child’s behavior, the focus of Dr. Licata’s book is on behaviors that parents can learn to raise their children to be well-adjusted productive people. Dr.
Tween CCG: Cooking, Crafts, Games is for tweens in grades 4-8. Each week you can do a different activity with Mrs. Bengson. This week's activity is adding pictures or words to flattened marbles to make your own original magnets.
Do you like to draw, make art, write stories or poetry? Join other teens at the library and B CR8tive together. Inspiration and supplies provided. Snacks, too! Grades 7-12.
The Library Board, Oakwood City Council, and Oakwood Board of Education will have a special joint meeting, which will be held in Wright Library’s meeting room.
No action is anticipated. The meeting is open to the public.

WAM (Wright Anime Manga) meets on the first Wednesday of each month. We watch anime, talk about our favorite manga, and eat snacks. Grades 7-12.
