Wright Library is pleased to offer an information session on its newest database, Mango Languages, on Sunday, September 19 at 2 p.m. Mango Languages is an online language learning system that teaches real conversation skills for practical communication. The system is completely web-based and remotely accessible, so you can learn anywhere you have an Internet connection. This demonstration program will take place in the library meeting room. Mrs. Sommer will lead this new program introducing kids to great audio books. Each week, bring your lunch and listen to sample chapters from several audio books. Audio books from those sampled that day will be available for check-out, so don’t forget your library card. For grades 3-6 beginning Wednesday, September 22 during lunch hour, from 11:45-12:30, in the Wright Library Meeting Room. *No registration is necessary, however a form for your teacher is required indicating that you will be attending the program during your lunch hour. "Drop in" for books, blocks, puppets, puzzles, coloring, and play stations from 3:00p.m. until 3:40 p.m. After children clean up the toys, a snack and a story is then followed by circle time dances. Social skills and early literacy skills are enhanced in this interactive program which fosters the love of books and the library for the young child. Mrs. G., along with teen volunteers, will be there to host our Saturday afternoon program. This program is suitable for children ages 6 and under (ages 2 and under MUST be accompanied by an adult). |
