"Drop in" for books, blocks, puppets, puzzles, coloring and play stations from 10:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. After children clean up the toys, there is a story followed by circle time dances. Social skills and early literacy skills are enhanced in this interactive program which fosters the love of books and the library for the young child.

Mrs. G. will be there to host our Friday morning program which runs the school year, September through May. This program is suitable for children ages 5 and under (ages 3 and under MUST be accampanied by an adult).

Back by popular demand, Wright Library and the Oakwood Historical Society will present “The Classic Architecture of Oakwood Homes” on Sunday, May 20th at 2:00 p.m. in the Library Meeting Room. The program will be presented by Mark Risley, past-president of the Oakwood Historical Society.

Stories, songs and crafts with Mrs. G. at the Oakwood City Building on Monday mornings this summer during our 8 weeks of Summer Reading Club. Storytime will begin at 10:30 a.m. and end at 11:00 a.m. This program will be presented again on Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., also at the Oakwood City Building during 8 weeks of Summer Reading Club. Program is most suitable for families with young children under 6 years of age.

No registration necessary.

"Howl at the Moon with a Wild Thing Tune!"

From New Jersey, first timer to Wright Library Tom Sieling accompanies himself on guitar, banjo, harmonica, and a drum machine! Tom guarantees humorous and VERY participatory (sometimes even a bit athletic) songs for kids that engage the whole family.

This performance will be held outside on the north lawn. Bring a blanket or chairs!
