Meet at Woodland Cemetery for an evening walk that includes tales of Dayton’s own bank robbers, counterfeiters and murderers. Who confessed on their deathbed of murdering pretty 18 year old Christine Kett? Did Rose Shafor really dress up as a man to help her lover commit a crime? Who killed Julius Kruse? And was the “Cincinnati Ripper” living in Dayton?  This program relays the facts of the actual accounts of murders that took place in Dayton. Graphic details are given and may not be appropriate for all audiences.

The walk is from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24 and leaves from the main entrance of Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum, located at 118 Woodland Ave. off of Brown Street near the UD Campus. Please note that this walk may be deemed strenuous by some. Please wear comfortable walking shoes. In the event of inclement weather, an indoor tour of the Woodland Mausoleum will be substituted.

Registration Begins September 6th
