Adults 18+, join local artist, Jamie Ferguson, in a mixed media art class that features instruction in the use of different mediums (colored pencil, marker, watercolor or acrylic paint) to create 3 Artist Trading Cards. Patrons will then trade one finished card with other patrons in the class and receive a plastic sleeve to store their cards in the hopes that they will create and trade more.
Artist Trading Cards are popular in the art world and were originally initiated by a Swiss artist in 1997 as a conceptual art project. Since then, artists create cards (the same size as modern sports trading cards) unique to their artistic expression. They sign and date the cards and then swap them with other artists.
