Drop-in programs—come for 2 minutes, 20 minutes, or 2 hours.  For families with preschool and elementary-age children.

September: Puppeteering.  Make your own paper bag puppets and play with the Library’s stash of puppets.  Record a skit with the puppets, using our pre-made scripts or one of your own!

October 18: Anti-Bullying Listen-In. Color your own Kindness Quilt blocks while speaking openly in a supportive environment about social pressures and bullying. Library staff will gently guide the child-led conversation. Parents are encouraged to join a separate parents-only conversation concurrent to the children's program.

October 20: Library Campfire.  THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER. RAIN DATE TBD
We’ll sing campfire songs, play games, and share stories.  Audience participation strongly encouraged!  7pm-9pm in Katharine Wright Park.

November: Holiday Wrapping Party.  Kids are invited to create their own personal wrapping paper, using the Library’s paper and art supplies, plus their creativity.  Library staff and teen volunteers will help kids to wrap their Hanukkah, Christmas, or other holiday presents.

December: Nearly New Year’s Party.  Crafts, noisemakers, a resolutions art project, and a faux countdown to the new year!
