Do you think the country is becoming too polarized? Do the issues that divide us seem impossible to address? Are the challenges confronting us and our communities overwhelming? LET'S TALK.
Join Wright Library as we launch LET'S TALK, a new event series based on the American Library Association's LIBRARIES TRANSFORMING COMMUNITIES campaign that promotes in-depth conversation, intentional community, respect, active listening, and problem-solving among neighbors. The topics we'll be covering are diverse and evolving. We want to talk about what you want to talk about. So let us know what's on your mind. Subjects we're already thinking about include Aging & Dying, Gun Violence & the Second Amendment, Sexual Assault, and Racism. Each LET'S TALK event may look different, but what they'll have in common is people talking, listening, and hopefully learning in an atmosphere of intellectual liberty and the American tradition of free ideas.
