Wright Library Commitment to Ecology
With three native plant and pollinator gardens and a strong partnership with volunteers, Wright Library is a destination for ecology education. Patrons gain deeper appreciation for the natural world at Ecology Programs and Garden Tours. Benches and interpretive signs offer opportunities for rest, reflection, and learning about the vital role of pollinators.

Seed Catalog Home: A Wright Library Card Catalog
The Remington Rand card catalog that holds the Seed Library was used by patrons and librarians in the library’s early years. It was sold around 1991 to the Yakura family, who generously donated it back to Wright Library in 2025. A new base for the catalog was built by an Oakwood teen who crafted it using wood from a felled oak tree from her backyard. We are grateful to the Yakura family for their care of this piece and are pleased to again be its steward.
