About the Ambassador Program

Each year, Wright Library selects Library Ambassadors from students in grades K-6 who have demonstrated exceptional participation and achievement in the library's Summer Reading Challenge. These young leaders will serve as champions for reading, learning, and library engagement throughout the school year. 

As Library Ambassadors, students represent Wright Library throughout the community at community events such as Scarecrow Row, National Library Week, and the That Day in May Parade. They also help shape the future of library programs by sharing ideas and feedback, and provide book recommendations to fellow readers. 

2026-2027 marks its eleventh year. Seventeen ambassadors represent Lange, Smith, Harman, and homeschool communities.

The Library Ambassador program continues to foster leadership, creativity, and a lifelong love of reading among local youth.
