Practical training for effective and ethical use of Artificial Intelligence

AI is rapidly shaping how we work, learn, communicate, and access information. Whether you're curious, cautious, or somewhere in between, understanding this emerging technology is becoming an important part of digital literacy. Wright Library is committed to helping our community stay informed about new technologies. 

This six-part series, presented by Dignified Learning, offers a practical introduction to artificial intelligence, including its benefits, limitations, and potential risks. Participants will explore real-world uses for AI, learn strategies for protecting their privacy and personal data, and gain tools to recognize AI-generated content and online scams. Attend one session or the entire series.

What to know for each workshop:

  • The series contains six sessions – attend one or all. 
  • Registration is required for each program as space is limited. 
  • Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop, tablet, or smartphone to participate in hands-on exercises. 
  • Each hour-long session is from noon - 1:00 p.m.

About the Presenter

Zach Katris is a Senior Learning Strategist from Dignified Learning, Cincinnati, Ohio. Zach is a former public school teacher and principal with more than a decade of experience in instructional design, project management, and leadership. As a frequent conference presenter and panelist, he has led workshops and trainings on AI literacy, digital workflows, and instructional design for schools, nonprofits, and business teams. He is passionate about making complex ideas approachable and helping people use technology responsibly to enhance learning and work.
