Good changes are coming to benefit library patrons
Wright Library is rolling out technology system upgrades to provide a more accessible and secure online experience while giving staff better tools to serve the community.
Though mostly behind-the-scenes, some changes will be visible to library users such as when reserving meeting rooms, placing Interlibrary Loan requests, and viewing the library event calendar online. In the coming weeks, patrons will also see a “new look” when checking their account or searching Wright Library’s catalog, and the Holds Pickup Locker will be paused as a pickup location while we transition.
Important dates:
- Friday, Sept. 11: Deadline to ask staff for your saved Reading History (if enabled) before it's cleared.
- September 14-16: Library services will be limited during system migrations. This includes:
- a pause on placing/filling hold requests and digital borrowing
- physical library cards required to check out library items (no photo IDs or virtual cards accepted)
- patron account access will be unavailable (checkouts, due dates, hold status, etc.)
- Wednesday, Sept. 16: New catalog system goes live.
- Check your account and notify the library of any concerns.
Updates will be shared here and on the library's social media pages. You can also sign up to receive Library Announcement emails.
