The 2nd Amendment of the United States Constitution is one sentence long and reads “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” Any U.S. gun legislation must meet this constitutional standard, but there’s debate about exactly what it means.
