Join us on an autumn bike ride! We will ride from the library to RiverScape in Dayton and back, using primarily bike paths and low-traffic streets. An Oakwood Safety Officer will accompany us. We will have a snack (provided) at RiverScape before riding back.

Join other teens, Mrs. Bengson, and a member of Oakwood Safety for a morning bike ride from the library to Riverscape, through residential neighborhoods and on bike paths. Must be able to do a 12 mile trip. Permission slip required. Snack provided, BYO Drink. For those entering grades 7-12. If weather is unsuitable, you will receive an email no later than 9:00 that morning for further instructions. Register here for permission slip.

Tim Pritchard, Sustainability Coordinator with Five Rivers MetroParks, will discuss what it means to have a climate emergency and what we understand needs to happen according to science to address the circumstance. The conversation will focus both on the big picture actions that need to be taken worldwide and what individuals can do at home and in the community to support real change. Play games and make crafts on the library lawn with Mrs. Bengson. For "Craft on a Blanket" bring a blanket to sit on. All craft supplies provided.
