Ever wonder what it is like to work and live in space? Join Space Center Houston’s interactive presentation on life aboard the International Space Station. Discover how astronauts carry out daily tasks including eating, exercising and conducting science experiments in orbit. Learn about the weightless environment and the effects it has on the human body. This program is most appropriate for children in grades Kindergarten-6th grade, but children of all ages are welcome to attend.

It’s a puppet show set in Ancient Greece: Aesop’s Fantastical Fables! Is there a mole in your operation? While accusations fly, only forensic evidence provides the necessary counterintelligence clues to put this case to bed. Teens become forensic scientists and use real FBI forensic techniques to examine evidence, make recommendations, and use the scientific method to determine the identity of the mole among them. Join educators from the International Spy Museum in Washington, DC for this program. Please pick up a program kit at Wright Library between February 9 and February 17. For grades 5-12.

Come encounter great works of art at this conversational program! After a speed-round introduction to the artist or art we’re studying that day, the participant-driven discussion will guide us all to learn more together. On February 3, March 3, and April 7 we will be joined by docents from the Smithsonian Museum of American Art for tours of African American Artists (February), Social Commentary; Social Action (March), and Found Object Artwork (April)!
