Best-selling author, Kara McWest, joins us for an evening of tales and tips as she discusses her experiences of traveling both solo and with children.  McWest is a solo-mom traveler and coach. She has a new book, “Freedom,” launching May 26. Copies of her previous books will be for sale at the conclusion of the program.

Kara grew up moving between the American Southwest and Texas. Moving frequently introduced her to many different cultures and people’s perspectives. Her open-minded mother cultivated a passion for embracing all people and helping them accomplish their dreams. Her education includes a Bachelor’s of Cultural Competency and Security Studies. She also has a Master’s in Security Studies. Additionally, she is certified in European and Sub-Saharan African cultures, with a focus on energy and peacekeeping strategies.

Her passions include travel, volunteering, philanthropy, and learning about different cultures.

Her experiences and education have created opportunities to inspire others to travel and encouraged her to become a certified Solo Travel Coach, where she incorporates her Reiki healing services into a coaching service that helps people use travel for personal growth and fulfillment. She’d love to help inspire you to book that flight already and go on that solo adventure!

Follow her travel adventures on her blog, On the Bright Side Travel.
