How it works
Join the challenge available to your age group and track minutes read using Beanstack. (What is Beanstack?) You can also pick up a paper reading log at the Youth Services Desk (Park Level). Visit the library weekly to spin the prize wheel, and record your reading to earn virtual badges, enter prize raffles, and win books.
Remember to visit the Library by Friday, July 31 to enter the prize raffle(s) of your choice and by Sunday, August 9 to pick up your prize book(s).
Weekly Library Visits
Once you register, you can visit the library in person for weekly spins on the prize wheel between June 1 and July 31. One spin per person per week.
Summer Challenge Goal
Read for 20 hours between June 1 and July 31.
Log your reading all summer. Read print books or ebooks, or listen to audiobooks -- any reading (or listening) counts!
Bonus Challenges
After 20 hours, keep reading!
- Fossil Canyon Challenge - Read 30 total hours
- Crystal Cavern Challenge - Read 40 total hours
- Desert Skies Challenge - Read 80 total hours
Prizes
- Register on Beanstack or in person to receive a raffle entry for a grand prize raffle of your choice.
- Early Bird Registration: Sign up by June 1 to receive a Ring Pop!
- Read 10 hours to pick up a raffle entry and VOX Read-along Trading Cards.
- Read 20 hours total to choose a prize book plus a bonus raffle entry.
- Read 30 hours total for a bonus raffle entry.
- Read 40 hours total for a bonus prize book and raffle entry.
- Read up to 80 total hours to earn additional raffle entries and books!
- Each week, visit Wright Library to spin the prize wheel. You may win a book, small prize, or additional raffle entries. Prize drawings take place throughout the summer.
The last day to enter the prize raffles is Friday, July 31.

How to Register
There are 3 ways to register. Please note that paper reading logs are available for all registration options.
Option 1: Beanstack mobile app
- Install the Beanstack app on a mobile device.
- Log in or create a Beanstack account.
- Enter each Reader in the Wright Library Summer Reading Challenge for their age group.
Option 2: Beanstack web app
- Visit Wright Library's Beanstack website
- Log in or create a Beanstack account.
- Enter each Reader in the Wright Library Summer Reading Challenge for their age group.
For Beanstack Options 1 and 2:
- Account creators must be age 13 or older.
- No library card number is needed. Beanstack is not linked to your Wright Library patron account.
- Parents can add multiple "Readers" under one account to log each child's reading.
- If you've used Beanstack in a previous Wright Library challenge, log in with the same account; no need to create a new one.
- If you registered for Beanstack through another library, you'll need a separate account for Wright Library's Beanstack site. You can toggle between libraries in the mobile app.
Option 3: Participate without Beanstack
Visit the Youth Services Desk (Park Level) to register in person and pick up a paper reading log.
Log your reading
The easiest way to log your reading is from the Beanstack app or on our Beanstack site.
You can also track your reading on paper. Copies of the reading log are available at the Youth Services desk. You may also download and print your reading log below. After recording your reading, you can update your progress in Beanstack, or bring your log to the Youth Services desk where staff can enter your progress for you.
