Oakwood City Schools Literacy Coach and Interventionist, and 14-year educator Kathy Jabir presents games, activities, and strategies parents can use with their elementary-age children to combat learning loss.  

Learn what to expect when homeschooling, how to teach your children without power plays and coercion, how to develop a learning plan based on your family's values, and how to make homeschooling fit your family and your lifestyle. Special emphasis will be placed on homeschooling during a pandemic. Discussion time will follow.

Diane Bengson, Youth and Teen Services Librarian at Wright Library, homeschooled her three children for a total of 17 years.

Follow along and join the fun of make-at-home crafts! Pick up your craft supplies from the library each week while supplies last, then follow along with Miss Karen on Facebook Live! Crafts will be appropriate for kids about 4-8 years old. Every craft will feature a companion book.
